Agency Overview: The Safe Center LI, Inc. (TSCLI) is the leading provider of services to victims of interpersonal violence in Nassau County. The agency provides comprehensive services to victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse and human trafficking. SUMMARY: The Assistant Director of Housing Services oversees the agency’s Rapid Rehousing program (RRH) and Domestic Violence Coordination Services (DVCES). The Assistant Director reports to the Senior Director of Hotline and Housing services.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for development and oversight of the RRH and DVCES programs including supervision of all staff, interns and volunteers.
- Coordinate and facilitate staff meetings.
- Responsible for grant writing, renewal applications, completion of grant reports and other grant related administrative tasks in relation to department grants.
- Management and spending of grant budgets.
- Manages Empower DB as related to the program operations.
- Coordinate with the Continuum of Care and other agencies in relation to the housing and coordinate entry programs
- Facilitate regional meetings regarding the DVCES and domestic violence housing on Long Island
- Attend Continuum of Care meetings, trainings and participate in related committees.
- Attend other regional meetings related to housing and coordinated entry.
- Coordinate the agency’s InKind team, which manages agency donations.
- Travel including overnight if needed for training and conferences.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the field of interpersonal violence, trauma, staff supervision and program management-all preferred.
- The use of a car for occasional trips, for meetings and other business-related matters.
- Overnight travel may be required to attend trainings.
- Must be COVID Vaccinated
Hours, Compensation and Benefits:
- Full-Time: 35 hours per week
- Salary $55,000/ an additional $2000 if bilingual.
- Compensation package includes, medical, dental and vision insurance along with a generous paid time off policy.
