This advertisement is for a Career Service position located at Central Office in the Office of General Counsel.
Salary Range: $39,075.14 - $41,245.88 Annually
SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT PAY POLICY.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The incumbent in this position will provide paralegal and general legal support for the Office of General Counsel.
- This will include being the assistant to the Chief Legal Counsel of the unit while also assisting the attorneys in the Health Services and Death Row areas of the office.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Must be able to work with the Office of General Counsel's case file tracking system and caseload database
- Provide administrative and litigation support to the Health Services and Death Row attorneys within the General Counsel's Office
- Assist with scheduling and calendaring deadlines; and must have experience with state and federal court litigation matters handled by the General Counsel's Office.
- Must have good computer skills, working knowledge of Mircosoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; and good oral and communication skills.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Must have four (4) years of paralegal or legal secretary experience; OR possession of a Paralegal Degree and two (2) years of paralegal experience; OR possession of a four (4) year college degree with two (2) years of paralegal or legal secretary experience.
