Lone Star Legal Aid (LSLA) seeks one Director of Analytics (job #HOU 006-2023) for its Houston Branch Office.
LSLA is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit law firm and its mission is to protect and advance the civil rights of low-income Texans by providing advocacy, legal representation, and community education that ensure equal access to justice.
Summary of Responsibilities
The Director of Data Analytics will be responsible for overseeing LSLA’s Data Department to ensure the needs of any internal and/or external requests for information to be derived from LSLA’s data sources or otherwise are processed, executed, and delivered in a timely and orderly manner. The Director will also be responsible for ensuring the flow of information from LSLA’s data department adheres to the data policies, standards, and procedures of all entities involved.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (prefer Masters of Statistics, Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, etc); Exceptional and innovative prior experience in data governance required: data analytics, data mining, big data, data quality/quality control, etc. Strong background in administrative and management skills as well SQL, essential Microsoft applications (Access, Excel, etc), and all others necessary for implementing day to day operations. Familiarity with Case Management Systems for legal firms, Timekeeping/Payroll System, and any other systems in which law firms or non-profit organizations gather and/or store data. Experience with NPOs and grant governance highly desirable.

Proven ability to collaborate with a team, represent LSLA to a rich diversity of people, communities, and institutions as well as to quickly understand and develop creative solutions to complex problems while under tight deadlines.
