Description
The position will assist the Civil Division judges by gathering information on pending cases, notifying the judges of the status of these cases, and issuing standing form orders at the direction of the individual judges to resolve cases expeditiously.
Examples of Work
Supervise the office staff to monitor filings in pending cases in order to set a case for trial. This includes the following:
- Working with the Clerk’s IT Department to gather data from cases to determine whether a case is at issue and if an order to set the case for trial has not been entered, to prepare a standing form order to set the case for trial; and
- Working with the Clerk’s IT Department to gather data from cases for which a motion to dismiss has been filed and, if there is no hearing scheduled on this motion, preparing a standing form order noticing the motion for hearing.
These duties will be defined by each judge and may include assistance from the judicial assistants.

Have effective working relationships with other court personnel, legal professionals, litigants, and the general public.
Education and Experience Guidelines
A bachelor’ degree and two years of professional-related experience.
Additional relevant experience may substitute for the recommended educational level on a year-for-year basis.
