ABOUT PUBLIC RIGHTS PROJECT
Public Rights Project (PRP) is a public interest legal nonprofit. Our mission is to close the gap between the promise of our laws and the lived reality of underserved communities. We do this by: training and connecting “equitable enforcers''– strong public service lawyers – who are champions of public rights; activating our partners to engage in targeted legal advocacy campaigns; and educating the public on the critical role of local, state, and tribal governments in protecting and enforcing civil rights. Since our founding in 2017, we’ve built a network of over 90 government and nonprofit partners in 26 states, recovered over $22 million dollars in relief, and worked on landmark cases to protect tenant, consumer, worker, women’s and voting rights.
